Love Creek Orchards, Medina

Located in Medina, Love Creek Orchards is definitely a Texas Hill Country favorite.

What began as an experimental apple orchard in 1981, has transformed into a pick-your-own orchard, an apple store, and a patio cafe.

The orchard has pick-your-own apples, blackberries, peaches, and figs.

Picking season will vary, but it usually begins with blackberries in April, peaches in June and July, and apples and figs in July and August.

On top of all the goodies you can pick, they also host an annual pumpkin patch with an apple eating contest and fresh-pressed apple cider.

If you make it out to the orchard, you will have to stop by the store for a treat or the cafe for lunch, because half a mile from the orchard they have their very own apple store and patio cafe.

They are a pick-your-own Texas apple orchard that has been in operation since 1984.

They even claim to grow the sweetest apples in the U.S. with their apples having 14% more sugar than other apples grown in the country, and 41% more sugar than apples purchased in a grocery store.

At the orchard, you can see The Apple Barn, which is a historic rock barn built in the 1860s.

Across from the orchard, they even have their very own Apple Cottage Bed and Breakfast located in a historic building dating back to 1877.
